KIASU KIT【怕输必备】

The Kiasu Kit is a children's game that takes references from the board game 'Guess Who' - a two character guessing game created by Ora and Theo Coster. The game has been adapted with a focus on local Singaporean foods instead of guessing characters. In light of the impact globalisation has on Singapore's tangible and intangible culture and heritage, this project seeks to cultivate stronger interest and appreciation within children to remember their history and roots.

Gameplay
The Kiasu Kit board game features a range of Singapore's local food.

Each player starts the game with a board that includes illustrated images of 20 local Singaporean food and their first names with all the images standing up. Each player selects a card of their choice from a separate pile of cards containing the same 20 images.

The objective of the game is to be the first to determine which card one's opponent has selected. Players alternate asking various yes or no questions to eliminate foods, such as "Does your food contain pandan?" The player will then eliminate foods by flipping those images down until all but one is left.

Well-crafted questions allow players to eliminate one or more possible cards and enables players to build a wealth of knowledge on the local foods available in Singapore.
